Tysons Overlook – Brand New Townhomes By Tysons Corner
New town home communities in the Tysons Corner area are few and far between. The last one was Tysons Reserve off Gallows Road adjacent to SAIC. Their timing was less than optimal but in the end they did manage to sell out (the new nearby condominium development was turned into apartments.) Other developments include Metro West (Pulte Homes) and Beech Grove (Stanley Martin)- both near Vienna Metro and both in the $600,000 range.
Tysons Overlook is located on Route 7 – a block from the Pimmit Library and Marshall High School. The homes are being built by Carr Homes – a company that has a long tradition in the area. It is a great location a few lights from I-495, I-66 and Tysons Corner Mall. It is also an easy walk to Trader Joes, Whole Foods, Starbucks, restaurants etc.
The community is being built on an old wooded lot that has been unused the last few years. In its glory days it contained a home that was demolished after being vacant for an extended period of time. The lot is squeezed between the Marshall Heights neighborhood and a small commercial area. The new community is small with just 11 new town homes being built.
The homes are price from the $600′s and the brick front town homes feature two-car garages and updated features(granite, hardwood, stainless steel appliances etc) over the 3 levels. There also is an option for a 4thlevel withan extra 2 bedrooms and a bath.
