Spring is here and the real estate market in Tysons Corner Virginia is hopping! Traditionally March, April and May are the most popular months for sellers to put their home on the market in the Tysons Corner area (zip codes 22102 and 22182.)
In February, the year-over-year monthly new listings jumped from 54 to 89. In March the number of new listings jumped by 37%.
With a great supply of homes the market is doing well. There are lots of buyers and well priced homes sell quickly and for great prices.
After a slow start the number of sales didn’t really pick up until March this year. As the typical time frame from an accepted offer to closing is 30-60 days I expect we will see a lot more closings in April and May.
2015 is shaping up to be another great year for real estate. Last year the market started strong in the spring for then to soften in the fall again. Will this year follow the same pattern?
